I started a boutique.

I’ve always loved fashion. I’ve always wanted to be fashionable and stay on top of trends, but I have to admit that I have always been too lazy to care about it for most of my life. I’m a Mom. I’ve been raising 3 kids on my own and while I understand that some Moms CAN raise kids and look incredibly fashionable and stylish while doing so, I have never been one of those women.

Until now.

Raising kids is hard work and it requires comfort and functionality, so naturally, I’ve opted for yoga pants over the years.

Never a bad thing in my opinion. Leggings will always hold a place near and dear to my heart.

I see those Sassy Mother Hustlers out there chasing their little minions in heels and stylish clothes and I just watch on in admiration and wonder.

Mama, you look amazing and you are owning it, but you can’t possibly be comfortable walking through the park in those heels, babe. You’re aerating the lawn.

Listen, I ADORE my leggings, just as most woman do. They’re comfy, versatile, you can dress them up OR down and the best part is that you can chase your little rugrats around all day long and not have to worry about giving someone an accidental crotch shot.

Why now?

I feel that it’s time for my wardrobe to mature a little bit. I will be 35 this year, I feel that it is time.

My kids are past the age of having to chase them around and pick them up off the floor. They are past the age of getting covered in food, dirt or god knows what else and making a gigantic mess everywhere they go.

They are past the age, yes, but I’m not saying it doesn’t happen.

Getting messy is all part of having fun, so I allow it. We actually really enjoy getting dirty.

But I digress….

I’m at a point in my life where I actually want to dress up, look nice and be fashionable, it’s not too late for me, right? There is still hope for this chick?

Better late than never!

And just like a fine wine… style and fashion sense gets better with age.

Can we not all agree that majority of the fashion of the teenagers and early 20’s in the 80’s and 90’s is something that is probably best left forgotten…

Bag Lady

Now, I am not much of a bag lady, but I know many of you are. I’m not carrying bags at this time, but may in the future. In all honesty, I haven’t carried a purse since my kids grew out of their diaper bags. I carried a diaper bag around for nearly 10 years, once I didn’t need one any more I was done.

Anyways, I found this wicked online shop that carries designer bags on consignment, so it’s a great way to indulge in that designer bag you’ve been eyeing up without breaking the bank!
